I bought these Easter bunnies last year at
AC Moore because they look like real
chocolate bunnies.
The handpainted eggs in the basket were
done by my mother, the talented Dianne Schroder

I made this card for my friend's mother; she asked that I make one for her after she saw my other Mother's Day cards on my blog.  I used paper from DCWV Mango Frost Mat Stack and cut the two red papers using Cricut's Elegant Edges (frame sytle) cartridge.  The tag is by K&Co.

I'm so excited about this post I'm sharing with you today.  First of all I'd like to thank Rayann from Scrapbooks by the Sea www.scrapbooksbythesea.com for introducing me to Stacey of Simply Stacey Creations  www.simplystaceycreations.com who was kind enough to give me some lessons in using my new Cricut Expression 2 that I got for Christmas while she was here at the beach for a crop in Feb.  Specifically I couldn't understand the layering technique involved in doing the hummingbird on this card I made for my sister for Mother's Day and she took the time to show me how to lay it out so I could cut all the colors at the same time on one mat.  Thank you so much Stacey!  The hummingbird is from the Art Nuveau cartridge, the scalloped circle from the Elegant Edges cartridge and the tag is by K & Co.

Ok, last post of the day. (I've been working on my wedding pictures {from 2 years ago} in between posts and I'm getting a stiff neck).  This one will be for my Mom.  Tag & butterflies by K&Co.  Sunshine ribbon by American Crafts and rose bow by Offray.  I have one more to do for my sister but I need a new Cricut mat as it involves some layering with the Art Nuveau cartridge; hopefully we'll get some in tomorrow.

This one's for my Grandmother in Florida who likes flowers. The paper is from DCWV Mango Frost Mat Stack which I cut with the Cricut Elegant Edges using the "book" cut rotated 90 degrees.  The butterfly & tag again are from K& Co.

I decided to continue this combo card/bookmark theme when making my Mother's Day cards.
The centers were cut from the Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge again and the tag and sticker are from K&Co.  The stamp is an Inkadoo clear stamp set and was embossed using a Fiskars texture plate which I ran thru my Cuttlebug. The initial stamp on the bookmark is by All Night Media Ornamental Letters & Numbers rubber stamp set.

I have a friend with a birthday next month; her favorite color is light blue.  I set this combo card/bookmark as a theme for my Mother's Day cards as well; she'll still have a pretty card after she pulls out the tag to use as a book mark.  I put some thin card board on the back to make it more sturdy.  The tag and butterflies are by K&Co., the ribbon and rose by Offray.  The medallions were cut  from my new Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge which have 3 different styles to the image (frame, oblong or "book") and the papers were by My Minds Eye Paris & Co paper pak.  The initial stamp is by All Night Media Ornamental Letters & Numbers rubber stamps and the swirl was cut using the Cricut Essentials cartridge that came with my Cricut E2

I made this shell wreath today using the ever poplar mesh we've been selling at the store.  It's attached to a straw wreath with greening pins and the shells are attached with a glue gun.  I also have some netting that came in a luau kit but I think it's missing something.  Maybe some sand dollars?  I had a sea fan but it was to big. Maybe some driftwood twigs or sea sponges?
